MERCURY Training workshop on Fundraising, 21/22 February 2011, Saarbrücken, Germany
The last training visit within the MERCURY project on International Research &Innovation Management took part in Saarbrücken from 21-22 February 2011. Eight staff members from different IRICO Offices at the partner universities in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova came to Saarland University to attend the two-day training.
The informative workshop was held by Mr. Scherer (European Research and Project Office GmbH) as well as Mr. Lauterbach, Mrs. Strohbach and Mr. Abele from Saarland University, who all have long time experience in Fundraising and international projects.
During the first day of the training, the staff members of the Offices were informed about the background and main aspects of fundraising on both international and national level as well as Marketing at Saarland University.
On the second day of the workshop, participants were introduced to the EU 7th Framework programme and its funding opportunities as well as practical steps how to write a successful proposal.
