On September 21, 2011 the MERCURY Dissemination workshop was organised by the project partner, Moldova State University (MSU), and took place in Chisinau.

The MERCURY Dissemination Event took place within the framework of the International Scientific Conference “The impact of the research and development on the innovation Capacity” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Moldova State University. This was one of the National Events planned to take place within the third project year in order to disseminate the MERCURY results.

The importance of the project was underpinned by inclusion of the overall project presentation into the Opening Ceremony of the Conference. Lesya Matiyuk, the project officer from Eurice GmbH (Saarbrücken/ Germany), reported on the EU-cooperation with Moldova State University in the framework of the MERCURY project and accentuated its impact on the development of the university. The contribution of the Tempus Programme to the National Higher Education Reform was illuminated in the speech of Prof. Valentin Arion, the coordinator of the Tempus National Office in Moldova within the Dissemination Workshop “European Model of Research and Entrepreneurial University”. Furthermore, the representatives from the consortium institutions (State Agency for Intellectual Property of Moldova, State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations, National Taras Shevchenko University/ Kyiv, Southern Federal University/ Rostov-on-Don as well as Moldova State University) provided reports on the HEI development and reforms within their national contexts facilitated by the MERCURY project. The presentations lead to lively discussions with Moldavian participants from various universities which made the workshop a great success.
