MERCURY Study Visit at Saarland University, 25-26 June 2009, Saarbrücken, Germany
On June 25-26, the second Study Visit within the project took place at Saarland University. The main objective was to inform the project partners about IPR issues and exploitation activities at Saarland University (see agenda). The different presentations were given by staff members of the Patent Marketing Agency of Saarland University. Apart from the information aspect, the meeting was a good opportunity for discussion with experts in the field of IPR.
The meeting’s second day especially focussed on patent databases. Participants were informed about patent applications and marketing strategies and had the opportunitiy to see in practice how to work with the databases.
A formal dinner with all participants rounded up the highly informative visit. On their last day the visitors enjoyed a social program including a visit to the "Saarschleife" near the border to Luxembourg and France and then to "Trier", the oldest city in Germany.
With these impressions about the region, the delegation left for Alicante, where the next Study Visit takes place.
